Research interests:
My research focuses on developing sustainable synthetic routes for polyureas, eliminating the use of toxic precursors such as isocyanates and phosgene. The approach centers on using alkaline bicarbonates, obtained from captured CO₂, as in‑situ sources of carbonyl groups. This strategy aims to produce carbon‑negative polymers with controlled molar mass and properties comparable to commercial polyureas, but with a significantly reduced carbon footprint.
More information
I am from Sumaré (SP), where I was born and still live. I completed my entire education in public schools, where I developed my interest in chemistry. Between 2023 and 2025, I worked at the Microscopy Laboratory (LIMicro, IQ‑Unicamp) with a social scholarship, assisting with sample preparation and supporting students in research projects.
My current research focuses on developing sustainable synthetic routes for polyureas using bicarbonates derived from captured CO₂ as carbonyl precursors.
Outside the academic environment, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as reading, drawing, cooking, going out, and watching movies and series.
